Story
Elder Priscilla Brown-Carrington is a graduate of The Minnesota Graduate School of Theology with a Master's Degree in Pastoral Counseling and a BA- in Biblical Studies, a Licensed Minister, Chaplain and valued member of High Praise Ministries The Destiny Center where she is servant and serves in the role of Elder. Priscilla is the mother of two beautiful, adopted daughters who are God’s reminder of His “Grace and Joy” as He blessed the Woman of God with the blessing of Motherhood. Priscilla is a native of Mississippi and has made Minnesota her home for the past 35 years. Priscilla grew up in a family that knew struggle yet the desire to help those in need was a creed that her parent’s lived by. “Treat People How You Want To Be Treated”, Matthew 7:12-NIV- “So in everything do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets.” Priscilla’s rearing has taught her the importance of family dynamics and interpersonal relationships as it relates to the socio-economic climate that affect our communities and world today.
This passion for caring and helping others would later light a fire and passion so deep within, with a foundation built on God and His love for all people. Galatians 5:1-”Love your neighbor as you love yourself.” Priscilla has Faithfullly served her community both personally and professionally with no regrets. Priscilla has had the opportunity to serve in the Field of Social Services to at risk children and families in crisis, in the capacities of Child Welfare including Foster Care & Adoption, Pregnancy Counselor, Sexual Assault Advocate, Peer Recovery Specialist, Clinical Case Management, Chaplain, which includes extensive experience and training. My experience in advocacy and training for individuals and families of development of all ages and stages of development and trauma in crisis, allowed me to meet the immediate needs by providing emotional support, resources, social and family structural safety and stability. Priscilla currently serves as the Navigator/Outreach Director for Family Refuge Village and Counsel member. Priscilla lives a life that is committed to God and services all in need of God, care, love, support and empowerment.
Unfortunately, Elder Priscilla went home to be with the Lord on 1-22-25 before we were able to have this inteview.
